Triabunna is a relaxing fishing village with a marina located in the sheltered harbour of Spring Bay.

It has traditionally been a centre for small industries with stock-keepers first settling in the 1820s. Other industries which have blossomed and then died out were whaling stations, the military garrison and the largest apple orchard in the southern hemisphere.
